  1. Buddy Program: This Thursday the 19th there will be a Buddy Program event! Any questions: lisa.rogers@uky.edu
  2. ESC Tutoring:  Monday night, the 23rd, from 6-8PM. Back-up tutors are needed. E-mail Michelle if able to participate as a back-up. Michelle.tucker@uky.edu
  3. Region G 2010 Conference: TOURS and WORKSHOPS committees need people!  Also, if you know any contacts in industry who can pass along letters asking for money to their company please let Becki or Leah know who you are.   Becki and Leah have lists and descriptions of each of the committees available for conference.  Please sign up to help if you haven’t already signed up.  leah.dieball@uky.edu or rdengl2@uky.edu
  4. Fundraising: Allison is graduating in December and we need an awesome underclassman to take on this fun position! Please consider this, it is a great way to ease into a leadership role in SWE.  It will look good on your resume!  Also, we are thinking of implementing a Back to School Raffle for early next semester, and we need your input and help with making it happen. Be thinking of what the raffle item should be.

Hello all! I have a few reminders for those of you who attended the Death by Chocolate meeting in September.  I am trying a new format for the meeting minutes so any suggestions on improvements are welcome! NEXT MEETING NOVEMBER 4TH AT 7PM RGAN 207.

  1. Buddy Program: Don’t forget to tell Lisa when you and your buddy meet. Points are awarded to teams when they meet/ hang out.  Cornmaze Oct. 22, Explorium Oct. 17th, and other events are coming up.  Keep an eye on the calendar for these events and more! Any questions: lisa.rogers@uky.edu
  2. Career Fair: This was awesome! We had 900+ at the event. THANK YOU to all who helped.
  3.   1. Buddy Program: Lisa wants to have everyone paired with a big buddy soon. If you haven’t received e-mails about the program (and you know you signed up) then double check she has your e-mail address.  If you have recently decided that you want to be involved and did not sign up at the September meeting then please contact her asap. lisa.rogers@uky.edu
  2. Career Fair: This is coming up soon! If you signed up to help out then be looking for e-mails concerning when you need to be where, etc. Career Fair starts in the morning and lasts into the afternoon. If you need to be informed of what time block you signed up for then ask Tabitha Graham or Lily Lim.  All help is greatly appreciated!   3.   4. Memebership: Membership at a National level is not recquired, but is encouraged. National SWE has so much to offer you now and in the future. If you need membership forms let us know. We want you to succeed in engineering and in life; we want you to feel welcomed and to have a support network of girls.
  5. Shout outs! Thanks to Sara Thurston who made The Faces of SWE books so everyone can get to know all the officers and directors. All the e-mail addresses and phone numbers of the officers and directors are in the book, too!
